This is a critical role within our HRIS department to assist with driving efficiencies within Workday and developing strategies to support the growth of the company. responsibilities:
Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Support and Maintenance
- Work with HR leadership, IT, internal customers, and various vendors to define business requirements where technology can improve process and support advancement in operations and analytics. Initiate projects that have a positive impact on the business.
- Ensure the production environment is running and working as expected/designed. Work with vendor support solutions to resolve issues and manage resolutions appropriately by conducting HR system troubleshooting analysis; document system errors and issues clearly/with screenshots; escalate for review & ticket creation. Escalate cases as applicable and follow up with vendors as necessary.
- Assist in developing and maintaining system design and configuration documents, system test plans/scripts and maintain HRIS team SOP's.
- Conduct different types of testing including unit testing, regression testing and parallel testing based on understanding of all HR systems requirements. Work with customer base to collaborate testing efforts and understanding.
- Maintain and understand user and role-based access controls for Workday. Grant system security access in accordance with company policy and monitor as appropriate.
- Recommend process improvements, provide innovative suggestions and solutions, identify, and understand issues, problems, and opportunities. Compare data from different sources to draw conclusions. Take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and considers down-stream impacts.
- Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate upgrades, fixes, or enhancements by partnering with other team members. Manage the delivery of HR systems projects including configuration changes and functionality deployment (including configuration, testing, documentation, peer review, sign off, training, change management, etc.).
- Maintain and develop training job aids and lead or assist in training sessions for end users.
- Support routine troubleshooting system tasks such as self-service functionality; report requests; password reset; resolve technical issues and identify system configuration opportunities.
- Partner with the HR Team to determine priorities and ensure alignment with department and company goals.
- Maintain data integrity through report generation and analyzation of data. Based on findings, provide appropriate solutions and process improvements to improve data quality.
- Collaborate with the HRIS team to support the creation and delivery of HR metrics and analytics, including HR dashboards and performance metrics that impact and support overall decision making.
- Assist in SOX audits by providing and reviewing data, controls, reports, and other SOX compliance items.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product, service development, and delivery. Continuously identify and partner to share insights with Subject Matter Experts to increase both general knowledge and HRIS system to drive decisions, encourage process automation to enhance efficiencies to support future growth.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or related field and/or related equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years' of HRIS experience; with 3+ years of direct experience within Workday including HCM, Security, Recruiting, Talent, Performance, Learn, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Timekeeping, Absence, Reporting and Payroll.
- Advanced knowledge with Business Process configuration, Calculated Fields, Conditional Rules, Security Groups, Domains, Advanced Reporting as well as other various functionality within Workday.
- Advanced knowledge in data management, Excel, PowerBi, PowerPoint, Visme.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, testing, and training.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and resolution skills.
- Must possess a sense of urgency in solving issues related to the HR systems with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience with project management, workflow, planning, and organizational skills.
- Emphasis on interpersonal, oral/written communication and presentation skills with ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms.
