responsibilities:
As a Cityworks Administrator, your day is centered around ensuring the Cityworks system runs smoothly while managing a major upgrade to the latest version of the platform, Cityworks Respond. A big part of your role is overseeing this transition, ensuring the new version is securely integrated, troubleshooting issues, and addressing any vulnerabilities that were present in the older version. This involves testing the system, coordinating updates, and ensuring that everything works seamlessly after the upgrade.
In addition to the upgrade, you'll spend time troubleshooting user access issues, managing logins, and configuring user permissions to ensure everyone has the right access. Reporting is a key responsibility, where you create and modify custom reports, often working with the GIS team to ensure that asset data is accurately tracked and displayed.
Supporting airfield inspections, a critical component for FAA compliance, is another significant part of your day. You ensure inspection data is captured accurately in Cityworks, keeping the system aligned with regulatory requirements.
You also provide user support and training, helping both new and experienced users navigate the system, troubleshoot issues, and get the most out of Cityworks' features. Additionally, you're constantly monitoring and administering the system, performing routine maintenance, and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
Throughout your day, you balance technical system management, user support, and the ongoing upgrade process, all while ensuring that Cityworks remains secure, effective, and compliant with industry standards. Your role is vital in keeping the system running efficiently while driving improvements across asset management and operations.
