Join our team as a Systems Engineer supporting on-site national security mission Systems Design & Architecture, Integration & Testing, Data Analysis, and Capability Development. You will act as part of a global team developing and operating software and hardware solutions to deliver national security impact to critical missions.
This position is a part of a US-based operations team backed by expert international developers and application engineers. You will be directly involved in systems planning, installation, commissioning, site surveys, and troubleshooting for custom solutions serving the US national security community and allies. Illuminate provides analytic and cyber solutions enabling critical decisions from vast data sources. We seek a talented, customer-facing professional to provide technical guidance on key projects locally and in the field, working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities
? Install, configure, and maintain various technical equipment, including server components and software, manage virtual servers.
? Supervise & perform troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, running diagnostics, documenting problems, prioritizing resolutions, and assessing risk.
? Assist with the OEM level design and development of internal solutions to meet requirements.
? Design, test, and implement process and systems automation capabilities to improve overall operational effectiveness and performance.

qualifications:
Core Qualifications
? Active or current TS/SCI with CI or FS Poly
? Ability to obtain a medical clearance to travel.
? Ability to support short-term international travel.
? 3-5+ years of Linux / Unix system administration experience (RHEL / Rocky / CentOS).
? 2+ years of direct experience in either or all systems design & architecture, integration & testing, data analysis, and capability development.
? Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or related field (or relevant experience as substitute).
? Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and solving problems in complex systems environments.
skills: Preferred Qualifications
? Understanding of mobile telecom network architectures and related hardware, software, and protocols.
? Experience working directly with development team to resolve software and hardware problems and applying software and hardware patches.
? Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, NAT, routing and switching.
? Experience with analyzing logs, stack traces, debug libraries, software/hardware.
? Possesses an understanding of Python, Bash, SQL databases.
? Create installation guides and as-built documentation.
? Experience with Linux firewall and VPN configuration
