For this contractor assignment, this senior-level Back-End Developer develops information technology solutions and provides development of high-quality, cost-effective information technology solutions that address business needs. Participates in design and development activities and ensures documentation of how the software was developed and will be maintained. Monitors system activities to understand function, status and trends of systems or applications. Ensures that system modifications and improvements are successfully implemented.

Day-to-Day responsibilities:
- Contributes to development activities to the project and team.
- Analyzes information from various sources to identify options and communicates recommendations
- Presents information that summarizes overall application or technology status and trends for business level review
- Reviews the work of others to as a part of code review team
- May mentor and coach others to enhance professional and technical skills
- Analyzes requirements for software programs or application enhancements
- Creates detailed programming specifications
- Writes or modifies code for software programs, components or applications
- Performs development testing and audits results
- Supports and maintains software programs, components or applications in a production environment
- Supports and clarifies direction in times of change in order to minimize confusion or disruption to business processes
- Acts as a point of contact for applications or technology specific questions.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews

DUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Education and/or experiences listed below are the minimum requirements for job entry.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum four years of related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher, the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of four years related work experience.
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
