SUMMARY:
- The Lead Senior Engineer is responsible for applying software engineering techniques and industry best practices to solve clear business problems
- These techniques include but are not limited to analysis design documenting testing and maintaining moderately complex applications andor systems
- This role will collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to design test and maintain flexible fulfillment ecommerce applications and systems specifically related to IBM Sterling Order Management

responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in formal design sessions with both onsite and offshore teams
- Development activities related to IBM Sterling Commerce Order Management configuration and customization
- Participate in the oncall rotation for production support
- Ability to lead and participate in the development configuration and performance tuning of systems
- Adopt best practices and coding standards and perform code reviews
- Provide detailed weekly task reports to reporting manager
- Development activities related to Spring boot and other java related technologies good to have
- Quality on time delivery of committed deliverables
- Flexible in working under changing and uncertain work schedules
qualifications:
SKILLS:
- Deep understanding of Sterling OMS functions Sourcing Scheduling Inventory Payments SDF Custom APIs SOM
- Cloud knowledge especially sterling containerization OMOC experience is also acceptable
- Sterling build and deployment process
- Hands on coding experience using Java
- BS or MS in Computer Science Information Systems IT or related field
- 7 years Software Development experience with at least 5 years of recent development in Sterling commerce version 10
- Hands on experience with public cloud and containerized version of sterling OMS
- Clear understanding of sterling build and deployment process
- Technology experience with B2C web commerce software and order fulfillment distribution center systems a plus
- Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus
- Performance tuning experience is a plus
- Proven track record of delivery in applications with large volume high availability enterprise applications
