will play a key role in ensuring the security and compliance of desktop and
laptop endpoints across client locations. This individual is responsible for
identifying, investigating, and remediating devices with unsupported
operating systems, ensuring they receive critical security patches and
updates. Special focus is placed on Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac systems. The role involves a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with IT teams and end users to ensure that non-compliant devices are effectively remediated. This role requires someone who is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and able to effectively communicate with diverse teams and end users to maintain the security and functionality of critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to remediate endpoints running unsupported operating
systems.
- Ensure timely and complete installation of security patches and
updates for all endpoints.
- Identify and address non-compliant devices across all UCDH
locations.
- Troubleshoot and investigate difficult-to-locate endpoints to ensure
compliance.
- Collaborate with IT teams and end users to manage device upgrades
and remediation schedules.
- Maintain detailed documentation of remediation activities, outcomes,
and progress.
- Coordinate with IT Security to address cyber-security exceptions and
develop long-term remediation strategies.
- Communicate with end users to coordinate remediation schedules
and plan upgrades.
- Utilize remote remediation tools and schedule onsite visits as
necessary.
- Create and manage incidents and requests using Service Now.
Required Technical Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools and best practices.
- Experience with Active Directory Users and Computers.
