We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI/ML Engineer with expertise in statistical modeling, data science, and AI model production to help shape the future of healthcare analytics. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), and predictive analytics to drive innovation in healthcare decision-making.

responsibilities:
- Data Preparation & Processing: Preprocess and clean structured data from databases and unstructured data from healthcare documents, ensuring high-quality input for AI models.
- LLM Fine-Tuning & Customization: Optimize and adapt large language models (LLMs) for healthcare-specific applications, such as extracting rules from prior authorization guidelines and other medical documents.
- Predictive Analytics Development: Build and deploy predictive models for applications such as drug spend forecasting, insurance plan performance optimization, preventive care, and personalized treatment planning.
- AI Model Deployment & Integration: Implement and integrate AI solutions within existing healthcare systems, ensuring seamless operation and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration & Validation: Work closely with healthcare domain experts to validate model outputs and improve rule extraction accuracy.
qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in AI model development, machine learning, and data science.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, Operations Research, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and strong experience with NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, spaCy).
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
- Proven experience fine-tuning and customizing LLMs for domain-specific applications.
- Hands-on experience with PDF text extraction and rule-based formalization.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

- Experience in fine-tuning LLMs for healthcare applications, including prior authorization and clinical guidelines.
- Familiarity with healthcare data formats, EHR systems, and medical ontologies.
- Knowledge of prior authorization workflows, pharmacy benefit adjudication, and claims processing.
- Experience with in-database machine learning, including model training, deployment, and operations.
