We are seeking experienced Deskside Support Technicians to assist with IT equipment setup and end-user support during this transition. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to work closely with city personnel onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite deskside support, assisting city employees with IT equipment setup, including desktops, laptops, and printers.
- Provide MS Office and Windows Operating System support.
- Handle imaging and deployment of computers.
- Assist with remote access configurations and troubleshooting.
- Reconfigure computers due to office relocations.
- Install and configure software applications.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide phone support as needed.
- Participate in project rollouts, including OneDrive implementation, Fleet Services Faster Upgrade, and Finance computer deployments if required.
- Proficiency in Active Directory management.
- Experience with device management tools such as SCCM.
- Knowledge of antivirus software and security protocols.
- Strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
- Experience with Two-Factor Authentication setup and troubleshooting.
- At least one relevant IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) - please highlight certification.
- Strong deskside support and troubleshooting experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed (7-10 hours weekly).
