We have a 12 month contract opportunity for a Cybersecurity Specialist. This role is fully remote but must work CST hours.
Job Description:
The Specialist-Cybersecurity, M&A/D will be responsible for leading assigned M&A/D transactions for the cybersecurity tower and is the primary cybersecurity point of contact for both internal and external partners. This position works closely with M&A/D program managers, applications and infrastructure project managers, acting as the cybersecurity consultant, navigator and auditor. This position reports to the Program Manager-Cybersecurity, M&A/D and frequently collaborates with other members of the M&A/D cybersecurity team.

responsibilities:
M&A/D Cybersecurity Lead
Lead assigned M&A/D transactions for the cybersecurity tower
Act as the primary cybersecurity point of contact for both internal and external partners
Respond to third party requests
Provide cybersecurity updates to the program, leadership and third parties
Act as the cybersecurity consultant, navigator and auditor
Cybersecurity Consultant, Navigator, Auditor
Cybersecurity Consultant-provide guidance on cybersecurity policies, procedures, standards, processes, knowledge based articles; identify risk, establish mitigation plans and controls, align with GRC, the CIA Triad, the 18 CIS Critical Security Controls, HIPAA and all other cybersecurity guiding principles
Cybersecurity Navigator-Guide other M&A/D program and project managers to key cybersecurity subject matter experts or other areas of the organization
Cybersecurity Auditor-Validate successful, secure and compliant M&A/D transitions traditionally achieved by requesting reports and documentation as proof of compliance
Communication & Time Management
Ability to effectively communicate the company's cybersecurity stance with both internal key stakeholders and third parties
Ability to communicate professionally with C-suite executives and other key leadership both internally and externally
Ability to manage requests from various platforms such as, email, chats and virtual meetings, including multi-tasking
Ability to participate in multiple daily meetings, prepare for and document discussions, identify action items and follow-up on the status of action items in a timely manner that aligns with the program.
qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (preferred)
Associate's degree or technical institute degree/certificate or equivalent work experience
Experience:
5+ years of experience in an IT related field
IT experience in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
skills: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong customer orientation, great organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working in demanding and challenging environments
Experience working in the healthcare industry
Certifications:
Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor) are preferred
