The Senior Epic Project Manager will collaborate with VPs, Directors, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to validate new products for implementation, perform IT discovery, and conduct high-level project cost analysis. This role supports the planning and execution of multiple projects of varying sizes and scope. The Senior Epic Project Manager will be responsible for developing and controlling best practices for Epic Operations project management, managing project teams, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

responsibilities:
- Strategic Project Leadership: Lead the full lifecycle of complex Epic projects, from initial concept through successful implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a critical liaison between IT departments, operational stakeholders, and executive leadership, fostering strong partnerships and driving consensus.
- Epic Build and Implementation: Oversee the scoping, design, and implementation of advanced Epic builds, ensuring adherence to best practices, security policies, and testing protocols.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to define project scope, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement robust project management methodologies, tools, and processes, driving continuous improvement and enhancing project efficiency.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Build and lead high-performing project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to project coordinators and analysts.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, conduct cost analysis, and ensure projects are delivered within established financial parameters.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 6+ years of progressive project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects.
- 8+ years of overall technology experience, including 3+ years in a team leadership role.
- Current Epic Certification is mandatory.
- PMP Certification is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing resources, timelines, and budgets effectively.
- Strong understanding of core business functions and strategic planning.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
