responsibilities:
Job Duties -

- Assists in the construction of products and equipment.

- Runs tests on products and equipment to ensure they function properly.

- Writes verification test procedures and reports.

- Designs and builds prototypes of planned product or equipment.

- Works alongside engineers to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.

- Conducting experiments and investigations under the guidance of Engineers.

- Maintains records and files.

- Inspects/trouble-shoots/debug product design for problems or errors.

- Analyzes system or product performance.

- Provides suggestions for ways to improve products and equipment.

- Works with design engineers to understand and correct problems with products.

- Orders and replaces equipment parts.

- Ensures that all safety procedures are observed during laboratory work.

Job Requirements -

- Possesses background knowledge in engineering or computer science.

- Is able to understand and interpret engineering terminology and schematics.

- Is capable of conducting independent research and debug/isolate hardware issues.

- High level of comfort using oscilloscopes and multimeters.

- Ability to solder test points / replace electrical components on a printed circuit board.

- Demonstrates patience when running multiple tests.

- Detail oriented.

- Exhibits strong organizational skills.

- Possesses solid technical writing skills.

- Communicates clearly and effectively.

- Minimum 5 years work experience in a related field/position
