We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in the role of C2BMC External or Internal Interface Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in interface engineering, systems engineering practices, and requirements engineering, alongside a passion for contributing to innovative projects.

responsibilities:
Job Duties -
- Developing and updating XML schemas (.xsd files) to support multiple Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Collaborating with various ICD authors and participating in multiple technical working groups to apply your knowledge of system domains and interface exchange requirements
- Attending interface working group meetings with MDA customers and representatives from the assigned external engineering organization
- Supporting program integration and testing efforts related to the assigned interface
qualifications:
Job Requirements -
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- A Master's degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
- 9+ years of experience
- Experience with DOORs
Desired Skills & Experience -
- Knowledge of MBSE modeling techniques, including behavioral modeling (use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, statechart diagrams, etc.) and structural modeling (structural composition diagrams, interface diagrams, conceptual object diagrams, etc.)
- Familiarity with SysML, RMF-based cybersecurity, and project planning using Earned Value Management techniques and tools
- Experience with Agile/Iterative development methodologies
- Leadership, task tracking, and issue resolution coordination experience

skills: Required Skills -
MUST HOLD AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
- Proven experience in Systems Engineering, particularly in interface engineering, encompassing:
- Message definition and processing rules
- Message formatting (e.g., XML, VMF, etc.)
- Physical/network specifications and models, including the ISO OSI model
- Knowledge of physical/network topologies, devices, and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)
- Proficiency in requirements engineering, including experience with IBM Rational's Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
- At least 9 years of professional experience with a bachelor's degree or a minimum of 7 years with a related master's degree
- Mid-career experience in pre-PDR systems engineering for DoD Information Systems, with specific Missile Defense Agency (MDA) sensor domain experience considered a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an experienced team, developing systems engineering products and artifacts while adhering to the program's Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP)
