Our confidential client, a global leader in healthcare with a diverse portfolio spanning diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals, and branded generic medicines, is seeking a talented MES Technical Architect to join their Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) group within their Business Solutions & Services Plan/Build organization. responsibilities:
- Architecting Manufacturing Excellence: Lead the design and development of manufacturing recipes and application integrations within the IT/OT landscape, aligning with critical business objectives and driving efficiency across global facilities.
- MES & Automation Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the go-to technical authority for MES and industrial automation, providing invaluable insights and guidance to business units, engineering, and infrastructure teams.
- Building Scalable & Reusable Solutions: Apply a strategic mindset and industry best practices to develop standardized, reusable, and scalable MES and automation architectures.
- End-to-End Process Mastery: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing process flows, translating business requirements into detailed process flows and robust technical designs.
- Recipe Development & Implementation: Take ownership of the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing recipes utilizing POMS software.
- Bridging Business & Technology: Partner effectively with functional IT teams to communicate business needs clearly, contribute to long-term system planning, and ensure technology solutions are aligned with strategic goals.
- Driving Critical Project Success: Provide technical leadership and support for critical MES enhancement projects, including hardware upgrades, process streamlining, architecture improvements, recipe delivery, and testing coordination.
- Ensuring System Integrity & Performance: Review and enhance designs, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning, and manage the installation, testing, and upgrading of system releases and associated products.
- Maintaining Compliance & Quality: Adhere to Computerized Systems Validation (CSV) processes and Software Lifecycle (SLC) methodologies throughout the system build and qualification/validation phases.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive technical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and deployment of manufacturing systems, with a strong emphasis on recipe design, development, and configuration utilizing databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- 5+ years of proven experience with C# or Java software development.
- Demonstrated experience with global scale manufacturing systems (ideally POMSNet) development and integration.
- Strong proficiency in methods and technologies supporting manufacturing data integrations (SQL, Web Services, data mapping, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Oracle Pl/SQL and experience with label printer and scanner configuration and support.

- Strong track record of successfully translating business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Solid understanding and experience with all phases of the Software Lifecycle (SLC) within a GxP environment.
- Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, authoring validation documentation, and executing validation activities.
