Position Summary: Lead Database Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Database Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing data pipelines using your expertise in Talend, SQL, and Data Analysis within a Snowflake-based data warehouse. This role is ideal for a seasoned data professional with strong technical and operational skills who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Business Intelligence team, you will:
- Lead and execute data engineering projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to support business intelligence needs.
- Provide technical and operational support for internal stakeholders and users of Claw.
- Manage risk and compliance functions, including vulnerability reconciliation, security baselines, and audit-related objectives.
- Administer and document tools to ensure efficient usage and handle service requests.
- Conduct user training sessions to improve adoption and awareness of Claw.
- Monitor and resolve incidents, problems, and change tickets, ensuring timely escalation when needed.
- Follow ITIL best practices for incident, change, and problem resolution.
qualifications:
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in database engineering, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
- 5+ years managing data warehouses in production environments, covering all phases of lifecycle management (planning, design, deployment, upkeep, and retirement).
- 5+ years of experience managing distributed teams (including a mix of employees and vendors).
- 5+ years managing offshore vendors in a global environment.
- Strong knowledge of star and snowflake schemas, as well as data integration methods and tools.
- Hands-on experience with Talend, SQL, and Snowflake data warehousing.
- Financial services experience is a plus.
