responsibilities:
- Lead and empower: Supervise and direct the operations of the IT Service Desk, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within your team.
- Build and secure: Manage, maintain, and secure critical server, network, and telecommunication systems, ensuring robust reliability, optimal performance, and proactive defense against cyber threats.
- Drive innovation: Contribute directly to the expansion of [Client Name]'s innovation services catalog, playing a key role in the adoption of new technologies and solutions.
- Shape the infrastructure: Oversee and contribute to the expansion of a modern campus infrastructure, including network upgrades, systems implementations, and physical infrastructure enhancements.
- Champion user experience: Ensure the delivery of concierge-level IT support services to the entire [Client Name] community, building strong strategic relationships with stakeholders.
- Strategic oversight: Manage the lifecycle and licensing of diverse software applications (desktop, mobile) and cloud services (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS).
- Project leadership: Oversee and supervise a variety of IT projects, from network and system deployments to physical infrastructure and wiring initiatives.
- Vendor management: Manage related vendor contracts and relationships, ensuring optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Policy and process development: Develop and implement IT service policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and security.
- Financial stewardship: Investigate and implement strategies to reduce IT systems costs.
- Escalation expertise: Effectively resolve complex issues escalated by other IT service team members.
- Data integrity: Ensure all data handling, transfer, and processing adheres to organizational requirements.
- Disaster preparedness: Maintain robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical data and systems.
- Security champion: Conduct internal audits to verify the security and efficiency of the organization's network.
qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in IT Management, Systems Administration, and Network Administration.
- Proven Project Management experience with the ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional aptitude for research, analysis, and problem-solving.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a relevant field.
- (Bonus) Master's degree in Information Technology or a relevant field.
skills:
- Extensive experience administering Google Workspace and a broad range of SaaS applications.
- Deep understanding of systems virtualization and related infrastructure (Nutanix preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Meraki Networking and Firewall/Wireless solutions.
- Proficiency in DHCP/DNS administration (ApplianSys preferred).
- Solid experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and RADIUS.
- Familiarity with SIS/LMS platforms (Veracross/Canvas preferred).
- Experience with MDM and endpoint management solutions (Meraki/Intune preferred).
- Proven ability to support Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh, Apple iPad, and related hardware/software.
- (Bonus) Relevant industry certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Meraki, Google, Microsoft, etc.).
