We're seeking a highly experienced Epic Infrastructure Architect to join an enterprise cloud migration initiative for a leading healthcare organization. In this role, you'll act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Epic infrastructure as it's migrated to Microsoft Azure. This is a remote opportunity with occasional travel (expenses covered).

responsibilities:
- Serve as the Epic Infrastructure SME during Azure migration efforts
- Design and validate Epic's cloud architecture in accordance with Epic ECSM standards
- Collaborate with database administrators, cloud engineers, networking, and security teams
- Implement Epic's High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for cloud environments
- Provide insight into Epic Cache & Chronicles DB architecture, including Hyperspace, Interconnect, Web BLOB, System Pulse, and Multi-Purpose SQL
- Support infrastructure validation, ensuring scalability, resilience, and compliance
qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Epic infrastructure, including Epic ECSM deployments
- In-depth understanding of Epic Cache, Chronicles (ODB/EDB), and Interconnect
- Strong knowledge of Epic's preferred Azure cloud architecture and HA/DR models
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Industry experience in large-scale healthcare systems
- Epic: ECSA, ODBA, Interconnect Admin, Cache DBA, Chronicles Training
- Microsoft: AZ-305 or AZ-104
- F5-101 / F5-201 or PCNSE
