responsibilities:
- Champion Security by Design: Architect, implement, and maintain robust security controls across a multi-cloud ecosystem, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical assets.
- Integrate Security into the Development Lifecycle: Partner closely with internal and external DevOps teams to seamlessly integrate security checks and best practices into CI/CD pipelines, fostering a true DevSecOps culture.
- Proactive Threat Management: Conduct thorough security reviews of software releases and infrastructure changes, identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities and risks before deployment.
- Vulnerability Management Expertise: Lead vulnerability assessment and remediation efforts for both on-premise and cloud-based applications, ensuring timely and effective resolution of identified weaknesses.
- Cloud Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks for cloud-hosted applications, contributing to a strong compliance posture.
- Collaborative Security Enhancement: Work hand-in-hand with development and operations teams to continuously improve security and operational monitoring capabilities.
- Incident Response Preparedness: Contribute to the development, testing, and execution of incident response plans to effectively address and mitigate security incidents.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging threats, and security best practices to proactively adapt and enhance security measures.
- Contribute to a Secure Future: Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the overall security objectives of the organization.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Professional certification required.
- Additional certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GCSA, etc.) highly desired.
- At least 8 years of experience in security engineering, particularly with AWS cloud services.

- Demonstrable expertise with AWS cloud services, evidenced by AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Professional certification.
- A strong foundation in security engineering principles with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, particularly within AWS environments.
- Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security best practices.
- Proven experience securing serverless architectures, managing vulnerability assessments, and utilizing cloud compliance monitoring tools.
- Practical experience with a range of security tools and technologies, including AWS security services, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), container security solutions, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
