Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of IT Resilience & Incident Response to play a pivotal role in safeguarding their operations. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute significantly to the resilience of a large-scale retail organization, working closely with the Manager of Business Continuity and Crisis Management. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive disaster recovery and incident management strategies to minimize disruption and ensure operational stability.

responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the development and execution of IT disaster recovery and incident management strategies aligned with overall business continuity objectives and risk tolerance.
- Incident Command: Serve as a key leader during critical IT incidents, coordinating response efforts, facilitating communication, and ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Disaster Recovery Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of disaster recovery planning, including the creation of detailed plans, execution of regular testing (drills, tabletop exercises), and continuous improvement based on results and evolving threats.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with infrastructure, security, operations, and business units to build resilient systems and applications, ensuring alignment on recovery objectives (RTO/RPO).
- Framework Development & Maintenance: Establish and maintain a robust disaster recovery framework encompassing runbooks, procedures, and communication protocols.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, SOX) related to data protection and disaster recovery.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on the organization's resilience posture, incident status, and improvement initiatives.
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and guide cross-functional teams during recovery and incident events, fostering a collaborative and decisive environment.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with disaster recovery service providers, ensuring effective service delivery and proper escalation pathways.
- Project Management: Lead and manage IT recovery-related projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance disaster recovery and incident management processes, leveraging technology trends and best practices.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- [7-10] years of progressive IT experience with a strong focus on project management, including the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure and application recovery projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing, with a proven ability to minimize downtime and data loss.
- [3-5] years of experience leading incident management efforts, including responding to and mitigating cybersecurity threats, service outages, or other disruptive events.
- Deep understanding of disaster recovery and incident management frameworks, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
