We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Center Change Management Specialist to support a fast paced environment. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient hardware installations, decommissioning, and other data center activities. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to manage change tickets, assess risks, and coordinate change windows while maintaining accurate records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers to create, track, and manage change tickets for hardware installations, decommissioning, and related activities.
- Ensure all change management processes align with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Assess risks associated with infrastructure changes and take proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.
- Coordinate change windows with application and infrastructure teams in compliance with change management guidelines and risk assessments.
- Maintain and update IT asset records and configurations in the CMDB to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Work with cross-functional teams to enhance change management workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures for change management and IT asset tracking.
- Provide documentation and reporting on change management activities, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
- Monitor and analyze change management performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs related to change management processes and best practices.
- Support audits and regulatory compliance requirements by ensuring accurate change records and reporting.
- Identify trends in change failures and work with technical teams to develop preventative measures.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and minimal impact during change implementations.
qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow Change Management and CMDB.
- Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to assess risks associated with IT changes.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem resolution skills and the ability to document complex problem resolution summaries and repetitive tasks interfaces through an online ticketing system.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: A+, Server+, or Network+
- Experience managing IT change control processes in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices for change management.
- Familiarity with incident and problem management processes as they relate to change management.
