job summary:
For this contractor assignment, this contractor will be working on requirements for an API that connects 3rd party raters to an internal Commercial Auto Quoting System to return a rate and prefill quote data.

responsibilities:
Day to Day Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Business to analyze current system requirements and translate those requirements into specifications for Quoting API workflow.

- Write requirements based on information above

- Analyze system defects for validity

- Facilitate requirements refinement meeting

- Provide insights and feedback into requirements syncs and system test plans

 
qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum 6 years of related work experience in requirements gathering activities or systems experience.

-In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher, the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of 6 years related work experience in requirements gathering activities or systems experience.

-In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of 8 years related work experience in requirements gathering activities or systems experience.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong collaboration, influencing, and relationship building skills

- Experience in Scrum/Agile

- Strong Analytical and Problem solving skills fostering environment of continuous improvement

- Translating existing business rules into requirements for project team using industry standards

- Understanding and experience writing requirements for APIs

- Deep experience with multi-tiered applications involving data, data contracts, rules-guided events, synchronous API request/response, headless solutions, and working effectively with business logic across each layer of the desired solution

- Knowledge and experience writing requirements in Personal or Commercial auto domains

- Experience testing APIs for potential Quality Assurance help and/or production validation

Preferred Skills:

- Experience using Postman

- Duck Creek experience

- Commercial Lines Quoting or API experience
