For this contractor assignment, the IT Quality Assurance Analyst (IT QAA) Senior is responsible for performing software testing activities, using a variety of testing approaches and techniques, typically providing functional and accessibility testing expertise. Uses experience and risk-based mindset to ensure that information systems products and services are functioning as expected and meeting end-user requirements as well as uncovering risks related to unintended consequences. Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize and reduce redundancies in testing efforts and create efficiency without compromising effectiveness.

responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Tests complex products and systems using industry accepted techniques, methodologies, best practices, and standards.
- Contributes to requirements reviews and testing review discussions.
- Analyzes product requirements and risks to determine test scope and estimate testing effort, typically at feature or story level. Adjusts based on results or changes.
- Mitigates product and system risk through testing activities that consider application layers (Client, API, and database), levels of testing (unit, integration, system, system integration), types of testing (manual, automated, and acceptance), and techniques (white box and black box), and environments (QA, Production).
- Identifies issues and defects that impact testing or product quality and communicates to stakeholders for mitigation or resolution.
- Recognizes how existing or planned test automation may influence manual testing effort and makes needed changes. Uses automated solutions to increase efficiencies in testing.
- Work in a scrum team for a UI application.
qualifications:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business or Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum 4 years of related work experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing.
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of 4 years of related work experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing.
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of 6 years of related work experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing.
skills: Required skills:
- Insurance testing experience and/or Duck Creek software experience are must haves.
- Exposure to automation testing is a must have.
- Agile/Scrum framework.
Preferred skills and experiences:
- Commercial Auto insurance
- Execution or development of automation tests
- Accessibility testing
