The Senior System Architect will join the Gathering & Processing (G&P) Product Line within the Midstream IT organization. The System Architect will play a key role in the G&P Digital Operations Product Team, which is focused on incubating innovative digital solutions for the G&P business. This team provides dedicated innovation cycles to integrate digital capabilities into the G&P Operations landscape, driving the evolution of IT and OT systems.
In this role, the Senior System Architect will become an expert in Gathering & Processing technologies, integrating digital practices into system design, and leading IT/OT convergence efforts. Working collaboratively with product owners, solution architects, and technical teams, this individual will solve complex technical challenges and align system solutions with business objectives. The Senior System Architect will be responsible for developing IT/OT architecture models, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, and supporting strategic architecture planning. Additionally, the role will involve the selection of new products/services, risk management, and the implementation of agile practices to enhance value delivery.

responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and enforcing governance and standards activities to ensure technology architecture compliance.
- Participate in the selection of hardware, software, and technology products, contributing to system architecture reviews and ensuring adherence to established architecture standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align system architecture with business goals, analyzing and identifying organizational and financial impacts of technology decisions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks for system design, advising on the impact of industry trends and emerging technologies on the enterprise.
- Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive system designs, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Define system integration strategies, ensuring the interoperability of system components, and provide guidance to development teams during implementation.
- Lead and oversee technology change initiatives, ensuring delivery of desired business outcomes.
- Develop and document system architecture, creating detailed architectural diagrams and design documents for internal and external communication.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in systems architecture or a related field.
- Scaled Agile Architecture certification is preferred.
- Operational Technology (OT) experience is an asset.
- Experience with AI/ML, data architecture, and systems integration is highly preferred

- Agile Methodology: Proficiency in Agile project management, iterating through project phases to achieve incremental project completion.
- Architecture Frameworks: Knowledge of widely used architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman to organize architectural processes and artifacts.
- Cloud Computing: Expertise in cloud service management, cloud application development, and cloud architecture design to meet organizational needs.
- DevSecOps: Experience in integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle, with an emphasis on continuous delivery and a security-first approach.
- Edge Computing: Familiarity with edge computing principles, reducing latency by decentralizing data processing to the source of generation.
- Functional Expertise: Strong understanding of technologies and systems, including networking, databases, cloud computing, and security.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in managing and provisioning infrastructure using automated, code-based processes.
- Internet of Things (IoT): Familiarity with IoT concepts, protocols, and the design of architectures integrating IoT devices for seamless connectivity.
- Performance Monitoring: Experience in real-time performance monitoring to identify potential issues and optimize system efficiency.
- Process Orchestration: Ability to design and automate business processes, ensuring smooth and efficient coordination across systems and teams.
