responsibilities:
- Champion Quality Excellence: Own and elevate quality standards, policies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for technology delivery.
- Architect the Future of Automation: Define and drive the strategic direction for test automation technologies and frameworks.
- Strategic Test Planning & Execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to craft and implement a comprehensive strategy for planning and executing test cases, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Automation Innovation: Lead initiatives to significantly enhance test case coverage through the strategic application of automation.
- Drive Performance Through Metrics: Establish and monitor key automation metrics across teams, providing insights and driving continuous improvement.
- Empower and Enable: Demonstrate strong leadership in understanding project objectives, individual team operations, and the delivery lifecycle. Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks to ensure smooth testing execution through effective communication and escalation.
- Results-Oriented Leadership: Exhibit exceptional personal discipline in setting ambitious goals and consistently achieving impactful results.
qualifications:
- Proven understanding of modern application development methodologies (e.g., Agile) and experience working within product-based teams.
- Demonstrated experience with one or more infrastructure technology areas such as containerization platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift-like), application servers (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss-like), web servers (e.g., Apache), and messaging/streaming technologies (e.g., MQ, Kafka-like).
- Solid understanding of System Administration principles (configuration, installations, patch management, server maintenance, etc.) and Network Management concepts (firewalls, proxies, IP management, routing, DNS).
- Broad understanding of various IT domains (e.g., development, testing, configuration, deployment, monitoring).
- Hands-on experience building automation solutions for cloud environments utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Cloudformation, Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages such as Java, Python, Linux Shell, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, BitBucket Pipelines, GitLab CI).
- Proven ability to establish, utilize, and support integration and communication protocols between various applications, databases, and technology platforms.
