We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Azure DevOps Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of Azure DevOps Repos, Build Pipelines, and Artifact Management strategies for a 12-week pilot project. This role will be instrumental in establishing best practices around repository structure, branching strategies, build automation, and artifact management to streamline the development lifecycle and enhance team efficiency.

responsibilities:
- Design and implement Azure DevOps Repos structures, including branching and merging strategies.
- Define and implement best practices for Git workflows (e.g., GitFlow, trunk-based development).
- Develop Azure DevOps Build Pipelines to automate software compilation, packaging, and quality checks.
- Establish Artifact Management strategies, ensuring proper versioning and storage of build outputs.
- Provide guidance on securing repositories, pipeline permissions, and access control.
- Support integration of testing and code quality checks into the build process.
- Document and communicate standards for repository management, pipeline configuration, and artifact retention.
- Work with development and operations teams to ensure smooth adoption of Azure DevOps practices.
- Provide technical coaching and knowledge transfer to client teams on Azure DevOps capabilities.
qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, build automation, or software engineering.
- Strong expertise in Azure DevOps Repos, Pipelines, and Artifacts.
- Deep understanding of Git-based source control strategies and repository management best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline design, including YAML-based Azure Pipelines.
- Knowledge of Azure Artifacts for package management and versioning.
- Desired: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
skills:
- PowerShell, Bash, or YAML scripting for automation
- Git workflows such as GitFlow and trunk-based development
- CI/CD pipeline automation
- Integration of code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube, Checkmarx)
- Repository security, permissions, and access control
- Strong documentation and communication abilities
