We are hiring for a Linux Administrator/Engineer for our client in Westfield Center, Ohio. This is a contract-to-hire role that requires a hybrid schedule 3/week at the client site. Initial contract will be six months before converting to full-time employee. Wonderful company, wonderful culture!

- Java Application Server administration and support in the Westfield WebSphere and Tomcat environment within IT Operations and various Asset teams.
- Support other assets owned by the Linux team including Linux OS, Puppet, GrayLog, F5, OpenShift Kubernetes and others.
- Work at the direction of the Lead Engineers and Linux IT Manager.

Vendor will provide (1) consultant to provide administrative support and engineering within the Westfield Linux and WebSphere environment which include Linux RHEL8 and RHEL9 servers and OpenShift Kubernetes clusters. The Vendor Representative will serve in the following capacity including, but not limited to:
- Linux RHEL Administration including deployment, upgrades, certificate renewals, software installs, patching, and incident management.
- Java Application Server administration and support in the Westfield WebSphere and Tomcat environment within IT Operations and various Asset teams.
- Support other assets owned by the Linux team including Linux OS, Puppet, GrayLog, F5, OpenShift Kubernetes and others.
- Work at the direction of the Lead Engineers and Linux IT Manager.
WebSphere administration experience is desired but not required.
The candidate will be trained on the WebSphere essentials.

- Serves as a technical resource responsible for the daily operations support, maintenance and administration of the resources managed by Operations & Infrastructure teams
- Acts as the primary liaison between the service desk and the administrators and monitors, maintains, and operates various IT systems.
- Leads the developing of solutions on complex infrastructure projects and designs, installs, configures, and performs systems integration testing of server/desktop operating systems, security, related utilities, and hardware.
- Designs, delivers, and supports system services and drives the successful operation, evolution, and support of applications and systems deployed to physical or virtual servers in the private or public cloud.
- Researches, analyses, evaluates, and monitors network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance and recommends improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications etc.
- Supports all users and field engineers to resolve hardware issues as well as remote troubleshooting to resolve software user issues or other IT issues.
- Supports the implementation and management of servers, client devices, operating systems, application systems and infrastructure within the scope of activity of the department and provides specialized assistance to their users.
- Provides data backup, server backup and recovery services including those required for business continuity and disaster recovery operations.
- Helps develop, revise, and document appropriate standards, policies, and procedures relating to the management, security, maintenance, recovery, and utilization of the services provided by IT and evaluates and recommends changes to improve service levels.
- Implements system and data security, including controls and logging to comply with the requirements specified in the Information Security Policies and promotes adherence to standardized IT processes, strategic guiding principles, and architectural standards.
- Participates in IT infrastructure migrations, including communication and coordination and organizes company-wide backup and disaster recovery including planning and testing.
- Ensures adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOP) and method of procedures (MOP) established for the critical environments relating to the management, security, maintenance, recovery, and utilization of the services provided by IT and evaluates and recommends changes to improve service levels.
- Implements system and data security, including controls and logging to comply with the requirements specified in the Information Security Policies and designs data and infrastructure systems to adhere to best practices and security compliances.
