responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management & Support: Provide expert-level deployment, configuration, support, administration, and maintenance of diverse IT infrastructure components.
- Network & Security Operations: Manage and troubleshoot complex network environments, including campus, data center, and WAN, with a strong focus on security best practices.
- Firewall & VPN Management: Administer and troubleshoot next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto), including connectivity requests and VPN tunnel management.
- Project & Operational Excellence: Participate in both project-based initiatives and day-to-day operational support, ensuring seamless and efficient network performance.
- On-Call & After-Hours Support: Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and perform after-hours changes as needed.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with diverse stakeholders, including customers, system owners, and technical teams, to gather requirements, analyze feasibility, and recommend optimal solutions.
- Knowledge Sharing & Training: Provide technical training and support to users with varying levels of IT proficiency.
qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in network and security administration, with a focus on routing/switching, data center, wireless, security, VPN, collaboration, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Expertise in Cisco ISR and ASR routers, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VPN technologies (IPSec, GlobalProtect), and security best practices (IPS, IDS, SSL decryption, URL filtering).
- Proficiency in network automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, VBscript).
- Experience with network monitoring systems and packet capture analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Familiarity with NIST standards and controls.
- Experience with NAC/Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Network Load Balancing (F5)
- Experience with SD-WAN Technologies.
