responsibilities:
- Be a key contributor to the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of video and data cables, as well as copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructure, ensuring adherence to client specifications and industry best practices.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of cabling project standards and specifications, bringing your practical insights to the design process.
- Proactively manage material and equipment, ensuring efficient project execution from start to finish.
- Interpret and clarify service orders, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate and high-quality installations.
- Expertly install a variety of low-voltage cables and fiber optic systems (no electrical work required).
- Mount telecom equipment according to industry best practices and manufacturer guidelines.
- Assist in the logical organization of network hardware such as routers and hubs.
- Install essential support structures, including racks, ladders, and j-hooks.
- Facilitate network connectivity through skillful switching based on provided data.
- Contribute to the implementation of security solutions by installing access control systems and surveillance cameras.
- Strategically select and verify optimal cable pathways for efficient and reliable network performance.
- Conduct thorough site surveys to gather critical information for project planning and execution.
- Maintain meticulous inventory of parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring resource availability.
- Install and configure closet hardware, including connecting blocks, fiber enclosures, racks, backboards, and patch panels.
- Cultivate strong, professional relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
qualifications:
- A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in the successful installation and maintenance of copper and fiber optic cable systems.
- Solid understanding of network design principles and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve network issues effectively.
- A valid Driver's License.
