A well-established management company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing internal controls, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CDK software and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment.
Salary: $130K - $160K plus a bonus and great benefits

responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application and internal controls.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, supervising a team of two direct reports to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing.
- Manage the preparation and delivery of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators and financial benchmarks to assess company performance and drive operational improvements.
- Direct the annual budgeting process and lead regular forecasting activities; evaluate and communicate material variances to executive leadership.
- Provide strategic financial analysis to support business decisions, including capital expenditures, pricing models, and contract negotiations.
- Maintain full compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements, including timely tax filings and regulatory submissions.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role overseeing an Accounting department is required.
- Proficiency in CDK software is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
