Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with specific experience in the commercial real estate industry to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting property management accounting, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including tenant rent payments, vendor invoices, and expense reports. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and depreciation. Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, QuickBooks, or similar real estate-specific platforms. Manage tenant ledgers, track rent collections, and follow up on delinquencies. Support CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations, ensuring proper allocation and billing to tenants. Process payroll in coordination with HR, ensuring accurate recording of wages, taxes, and deductions. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes for properties. Prepare financial reports for management, investors, and property owners as required. Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Collaborate with property managers, asset managers, and other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and provide necessary information.
