This role is critical to ensuring safety, product quality, and productivity targets are consistently met. The ideal candidate will take ownership of shift performance, drive continuous improvement, coach their team to success, and maintain compliance with operational procedures and company policies. Key Responsibilities: Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring team members adhere to OSHA and company guidelines. Assign team members to workstations and ensure timely coverage during shift changes and breaks. Train and develop new and existing operators; provide constructive feedback and recognition as needed. Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, escalating concerns when necessary to avoid downtime or quality issues. Oversee start-up and shutdown procedures, including machine/tooling setup and minor adjustments to maintain product specs. Keep accurate records related to production data, downtime, and scrap using systems such as SAP. Ensure production lines meet quality standards through inspections, testing, and collaboration with quality personnel. Support the packaging, staging, and material handling of finished goods and scrap materials. Assist with routine equipment maintenance and collaborate on improvements and new line installations.
