Houston 77064 area is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for a 1st-shift, safety-sensitive position within the Purchasing Department. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for moving a wide variety of parts and products through the organization using material-moving equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies, ensuring all movements are accurately documented in the ERP system. Key duties include receiving and verifying materials against purchase orders, performing cycle counts based on the ERP count plan, and conducting root cause analysis to recommend corrective actions for inventory discrepancies. The ideal candidate possesses 3–5 years of inventory or supply chain experience, basic math skills, and the ability to maintain professional relationships with outside vendors while working in a climate-controlled facility.
