Reporting directly to the Chief Operation Officer, this onsite position manages all accounting operations, ensures timely financial reporting, and serves as a key partner in the organization’s mission through sound fiscal stewardship. You will manage the full accounting cycle from daily AP/AR to high-level budgeting and grant compliance while driving the transparency and operational excellence necessary for their next phase of growth. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in non-profit organizations desired. In-depth knowledge of GAAP and FASB standards for non-profits is required. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Gusto, and Excel is highly desirable. Great analytical, organizational, and communication skills required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with leadership, board, and staff. salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and all sub-ledgers in strict accordance with GAAP and non-profit standards. Personally lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure "audit-ready" financials at all times. Prepare and present accurate financial statements and performance dashboards for leadership and the Board Finance Committee. Independently process and review payroll via Gusto, ensuring accurate tax filings, benefit deductions, and program allocations. Directly oversee and execute the AP/AR process using Bill.com, managing vendor contracts and maintaining healthy cash flow. Track restricted and unrestricted funding, ensuring donor-restricted funds are used and reported correctly in coordination with development staff. Develop the annual budget alongside the COO and monitor performance through detailed variance analysis.
