job summary: Growing structural engineering firm in the West LA area is seeking a Structural Buildings Engineer to join their team! The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, a PE license and hold 5+ years of experience in design and production for new build and existing structures All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. location: Los Angeles, California job type: Permanent salary: $110,000 - 150,000 per year work hours: 9am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Produce structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents for new and existing buildings (commercial, tenant improvement, seismic retrofits, etc)Strong understanding and staying updated on California code practicesCommunicate and working closely with clients on project details Weekly site visits, all local to Southern California, average about 3-4 hours a weekWork independently, with limited direction on structural designsDesign experience with wood, steel, concrete and masonry, PT concrete experience is a plus!
