A well-established environmental services company in Lakeland, FL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead their team in keeping vehicles and equipment safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.What You’ll Do: Supervise, mentor, and lead shop technicians in daily maintenance and repairs Plan and enforce preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime Ensure compliance with DOT, state, and federal safety standards Manage parts inventory, track fuel usage, and control maintenance costs Coordinate repairs, safety meetings, and staff scheduling Maintain clean, safe, and efficient shop and facility operations Recruit, train, and evaluate maintenance staff performance What We’re Looking For: Proven supervisory experience in fleet or industrial maintenance Knowledge of DOT regulations, heavy-duty vehicle repair, air brakes, welding, and diagnostics Ability to lead hands-on while managing shop operations Familiarity with Microsoft Office, JDEdwards, or similar systems CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 6 months High School Diploma or GED required DOT certifications (air brake and vehicle inspections) Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a loud, sometimes harsh environment Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.Why Join This Team?
