job summary: As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will help innovate, build, and support our rapidly expanding next generation IP broadcast platform. Responsibilities: ? Support ATSC 3 and mobile initiatives in the US and abroad. ? Support verification and validation testing of receivers and broadcast technologies ? Participate and contribute to the R&D innovation and ideation process. ? Develop requirements and acceptance plans for qualifying software and station equipment. ? Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, virtual machines, and management tools to keep lab servers/ broadcast air chains up to date. ? Lead rapid prototype development projects and conduct demonstrations. ? Develop, maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for the Lab. ? Support plug-fests, interop events and integration in the lab ? Participate and support technology demonstrations at key events (NAB, CES, etc.) ? Participate in standards and other industry alignment activities at A3SA, ATSC, IETF, W3C and 3GPP. Required Skills ? BS degree or equivalent experience ? 5 plus years of experience with broadcast TV systems and air chain equipment ? 5 plus years of team leadership experience. ? Experience with the ATSC 3 and 3GPP standards. ? Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. ? Working Knowledge with HEVC, AVC, MPEG-2, Dash, HLS and HDR ? Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting in Linux/Unix and Android environment. ? Experience with video streaming technology (e.g., MPEG Dash, HLS, MSS and RTSP) ? Must be proficient with scripting languages such as Python and Perl. ? Working knowledge of public/private key infrastructure (PKI). ? Ability to troubleshoot, install, and maintain IP network. ?
