job summary: Scope of Services Background: As a result of the Department's efforts to re-engineer and modernize core financial systems, there has been over 1,500 computing assets identified as performing some level of financial planning, analysis, and management functionality that are impacted by the State of Florida's accounting system. The Florida Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM) project is a multiyear endeavor to replace the State of Florida's accounting and cash management systems with a modern financial management solution. The computing asset modifications to complete the PALM System Transition (FPST) will take place over the course of three years in alignment with the Florida PALM Project scheduled timeline. Of the 1,500+ computing assets, over 120 are interfaces either between financial applications or with the state accounting system. These interfaces were written on outdated technology that simply will not work with the new, more modern state accounting system. In 2019, the customer implemented Informatica Data Management as part of our data infrastructure migration and modernization project to be our new integration tool. The person filling this role will analyze the current integrations leveraged by the customer's financial systems and work with management to create a plan to migrate these integrations to Informatica. Once the plan is created, this person will work on migrating integrations into Informatica as well as train and mentor current staff on how to leverage the Informatica product to perform data integrations in the future. Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Work experience can substitute on a year for year basis for the degree. Special consideration will be given to candidates with Informatica certification. Experience Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in systems integrations and/or ETL (extract, transform, and load). Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data integration solutions. Mentor current FDOT staff on best practices for leveraging Informatica tools. Create documentation for financial data integration processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating knowledge transfer within the team.
