job summary: Industry leading, very reputable and well established manufacturer is looking for a promotable Plant Manager in the Chicago area. This is not a remote or hybrid position, candidates will need to be on-site 100% of the time. This position comes with a very competitive compensation plan, commensurate with experience with a salary ranging from $170k to $180k plus an annual 20% bonus and relocation assistance (if needed). This is a wonderful opportunity and the ideal candidate will possess a experience in a chemical manufacturing plant along with a track record of growing a plant, building teams, Lean oriented, with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost management. Also, the plant manager will need to be a hands on leader, that utilizes data and who can be tactical and strategic. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. location: Oak Brook, Illinois job type: Permanent salary: $170,000 - 180,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: - Oversee operations to ensure safety - Develop plans that help operations run smoothly - Assist in creation and management of budgets - Implement, monitor and meet manufacturing team KPI's (i.e. on time delivery, supplier performance, product quality etc.) - Provide hands on leadership in lean manufacturing, including evaluating all existing systems, processes and metrics with a view to recommending and then implementing improvements which will minimize production costs and waste while maximizing production outputs - Maintain, manage and report on inventory levels - Using reports and software, collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste - Analyze data and create reports to present to executives regarding processes - Evaluate employee's performance and give suggestions for improvement - Present monthly results of facility to large groups - Support corporate goals and roll out to the site appropriately - Drive accountability and outside the box thinking to performance metrics within the plant and leadership team. Interface with corporate teams, take part in customer visits.
