job summary: The Field Service Technician - Controls and Hydraulics Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting Capital Equipment (CE) and Engineered-To-Order (ETO) projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, on-time installation, and commissioning. This role requires expertise in hydraulic and electrical systems, PLC programming, and customer relations to uphold project profitability and enhance customer satisfaction. location: San Antonio, Texas job type: Permanent salary: $100,000 - 110,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: No Degree Required responsibilities: Serve as the primary contact for field/technical support for metal recycling equipment.Act as a liaison for key customers during breakdowns and ensure prompt, expert resolution.Provide process expertise for maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical incidents.Participate in internal and external meetings to ensure accurate scope, schedule, and quality for all sold projects.Review sales orders, electrical drawings, PLC programs, and scope changes in preparation for installations and commissioning activities.Ensure quality control/testing measures are completed prior to project shipment.Perform direct system programming for electrical panels and PLCs as needed.Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product lines and develop innovative solutions.Conduct safety inspections and prepare Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for specific job sites.Adhere to all quality, environmental, health, and safety (QEHS) standards for our and customers.
