job summary: We are looking for a reliable and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will travel to customer sites to perform installations and repairs based on customer requests or warranty needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, interpreting technical drawings, and performing tasks that include electrical work, carpentry, equipment installation, and minor repairs. This position requires the ability to operate various power tools and equipment, as well as a willingness to travel up to three weeks at a time. Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills are essential. location: Houston, Texas job type: Permanent salary: $41,600 - 79,040 per year work hours: Rotating Shifts education: High School responsibilities: Must be willing to travel weekly and be gone up to three (3) weeks at a timeInterpret Engineering drawings, electrical control prints, and schematicsExperience/Knowledge in electrical and carpentry requiredHook up power and controls according to prints/schematicsBe familiar with framing construction standardsOperate all power equipment as required to complete required work (eg. Battery operated hand tools, power saws, crimping tools, scarifier, and air tools including sprayers)Install air conditioning equipment, cable ladder systems, hoods, battery systems, waveguide entries, halo ground systems and other types of grounding systemsHang and/or repair doors and locks as required, to include installing hardware, assembling doors, and/or painting doorsComplete framing, sheathing, trim work and floor tile installation, as requiredMake minor concrete repairs and apply concrete buildings coatings and finishesOther duties as assigned by manager to complete repairs according to customer agreements and/or requirements qualifications: Education High school diploma or Equivalent (GED). Experience knowledge of electrical work HVAC knowledge of framing/finishing skills: Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraintsKnowledge of electrical wiring standards and the National Electric CodesAbility to solve problems (trouble shoot issues) in a variety of situations with limited standardizationExcellent communication skills to effectively present and handle information to customersAbility to understand and follow instructions given verbally, written, or in diagram format.
