In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and improving plastic injection molds while managing multiple high-precision tooling projects. Design and manufacture special jigs and fixtures for assigned mold projects. Suggest improvements and alternative methods to enhance mold designs. Construct molds using available tool room resources. Manage and report tooling progress as needed. Handle multiple high-precision, multi-cavity tooling projects. Communicate with outside vendors to gather specific information and services to meet schedules and budgets. Perform quality control on personal work and work received from others. Provide coaching and mentoring to General Machinists and Mold Maker I team members. Collaborate with tool room specialists on projects, including EDM, CNC lathe, and hard die milling. Maintain assigned equipment and work areas to ensure proper function and cleanliness. Effectively manage time to balance multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and cost targets. We’re hiring an experienced Mold Maker to join our plastic injection molding team. You'll be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining injection molds to support production efficiency.
