Assist in system proposals and scope reviews, working closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, imaging) to develop integrated system solutions. Evaluate operational feasibility by analyzing problems, defining requirements, and developing solutions. Develop and maintain software documentation, including flowcharts, diagrams, layouts, and clear, well-documented code. Design and implement Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) and integrate new image processing algorithms into existing software. Integrate APIs for new hardware devices and real-time hardware programming, including motion control and PID control. Maintain best practices for software development and ensure compliance with quality assurance processes. Occasionally travel (approx. 5%) to HQ in NY or customer sites worldwide for technical discussions or troubleshooting. qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience: Open to entry-level candidates (fresh graduates or 1+ year experience) up to 10 years of hands-on software development experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check and drug test. Strong proficiency in C/C++, C#, .NET, and Visual Basic, with a focus on C# .NET development. Experience working with Windows platforms and Visual Studio development tools. Ability to work in a highly technical, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. skills: Experience with real-time hardware programming, including: Motion control PID control Experience with integrating new image processing algorithms into existing software (OpenCV experience is a plus). Familiarity with Oracle and SQL databases, as well as SVN configuration management tools. Prior experience working in a quality-assured, controlled design environment. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with X-ray imaging systems is a plus.
