We are seeking a detail oriented, sharp, and motivated Manufacturing GL Accountant to join our team in Carrollton. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day to day full cycle accounting and month/ year end close duties. You will progress to learn cost accounting activities, including monitoring and analyzing manufacturing costs, maintaining accurate general ledger entries, and supporting financial reporting. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and contributes to strategic decision-making by providing actionable financial insights to enhance operational efficiency and cost control. Previous accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal policies. Monitor and reconcile raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory. Oversee periodic physical inventory counts and analyze results. Track and account for fixed assets, including depreciation. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and efficiency improvements. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Analyze and allocate manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead. Maintain and update standard costs in the system and investigate variances.
