Contract - 6 months (possibility of extension) The Leave specialist is responsible for the coordination and administration of the leave process which includes analytical, planning, reporting, technical, systems and project support. The Leave specialist will also help resolve concerns and issues from employees, managers, business partners, and other customers and external parties regarding processes and policies through phone and case management. This person will strive to meet all expected service levels and business performance goals, performing a full range of services and fully documenting all cases in the case management system.salary: $25 - $28 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries, prioritize tasks, and provide timely guidance on leave policies, laws, and collective bargaining agreements. Leave Management: Process leaves in PeopleSoft, send status letters, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with payroll activities (e.g., Kronos updates, reports). Education & Guidance: Instruct employees, managers, and timekeepers on leave procedures and time reporting policies. Collaboration: Work with occupational health staff on return-to-work processes and coordinate with leave assistants, senior specialists, and vendors to ensure accurate benefits and payments. Issue Resolution: Research and resolve employee leave issues, escalate complex cases, and propose solutions to mitigate systemic problems. Case Management: Document all cases, improve processes, and encourage self-service options for users. Compliance & Improvement: Ensure adherence to policies, service level agreements, and quality standards while participating in training and adapting to process or technology changes. Project Support: Contribute to leave projects, training initiatives, and knowledge sharing within the team.
