The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Prepare and submit all required payroll tax filings, including federal Form 941. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee data. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters. Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, and state-specific payroll laws. Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 preparation. Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments as needed. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role. Demonstrated experience with 941 filings is essential. Understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations. Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
