This role will involve building and maintaining strong relationships with current vendors while actively seeking out new and alternative suppliers to ensure the best quality and value for our business. Arrange for periodic visits to vendors to ensure the quality of materials and processes used in the manufacture of the products as well as maintaining good relationships. • Maintain satisfactory inventory levels of raw materials, packaging and products for resale by establishing minimum and maximum inventory levels and reorder quantities. • Procure supplies, services, and equipment by reviewing supply requisitions and working with the vendor to select high quality products at the lowest cost. • Develop policies and procedures, forms and systems to ensure the verification of incoming shipments, delivery and costs. Work closely with Quality / Inspection Department which will define quality standards. • Develop policies and procedures for dealing with defective or unacceptable goods, services, or equipment.
