job summary: A Material Planning Manager is needed for a global healthcare leader that discovers, develops and distributes therapeutic solutions focused on patient's needs in the Swiftwater, PA area. The Material Planning Manager ensures timely material availability by managing inventory and coordinating with cross-functional teams using SAP and MRP methods, while optimizing stock levels and minimizing supply disruptions, obsolescence, and production delays. location: Swiftwater, Pennsylvania job type: Contract salary: $28.06 - 39.29 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and order materials using MRP or re-order point methods in SAP to support Swiftwater production plans.Serve as the main point of contact for focus factory teams, identifying material needs and solving for potential shortages.Balance inventory investment and storage constraints while optimizing material availability and safety stock.Monitor inventory to minimize risk of stock-outs, obsolescence, and expiration.Process Material Demand Orders (MDOs), including obsolete/rejected items and invoicing issues.Support IA M-Tech, GEM projects, and R&D development through material planning.Resolve discrepancies/damages with vendors upon material receipt, issue debit memos and coordinate returns.Partner with PQMR, QC, and logistics teams to prioritize material releases.Support site-wide critical materials management and reduce single-source supply risks.Collaborate with Procurement/Purchasing to manage supplier relationships, share forecasts, and understand vendor operations.Analyze department metrics: inventory turns, obsolescence, MDO aging, safety stock levels, etc.Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned. Skills: strong understanding of MRP/ERP planning concepts.SAP experience preferred.Excellent communication skills with all levels in a company.Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, etc.Must be able to manage and analyze large amounts of data using Excel.Ability to manage complex vendor relationships.
