Strategic Capital Procurement Consultant (CAPEX) Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – 2 days onsite required) Experience Level: 5+ Years (Pharma/Life Sciences preferred)The Opportunity We are seeking a high-caliber Capital Procurement Consultant to lead end-to-end sourcing for major CAPEX projects. You will act as the primary bridge between Engineering, Finance, and Project Management, navigating high-value procurement lifecycles from funding requests to final contract close-out. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Integration & Sourcing Execution Partner with Site Procurement to implement support models for active CAPEX projects. Lead the preparation of RFP documentation, price sheets, and draft Master Service Agreements (MSAs). Manage high-value sourcing events ($100k+) utilizing E-Sourcing systems (Ariba/Coupa). Develop evaluation matrices considering technical, commercial, and legal requirements. 2. Negotiation & Contracting Design and lead negotiation strategies in collaboration with project stakeholders. Manage the full awarding process, including Single Source Justifications when necessary. Oversee the Purchase Request (PR) cycle and ensure POs are fully confirmed by suppliers. 3. Project Tracking & Close-out Maintain Procurement Planning and Tracking tables to ensure milestone transparency. Document and report realized savings (Wave) and performance metrics to leadership. Facilitate the final transfer of equipment, guarantees, and documentation to operations teams. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 5+ years in Capital Procurement (CAPEX) within a regulated environment (Manufacturing/Pharma). Systems: Proficiency in Coupa, Ariba E-Sourcing, and Axxerion (or similar project management toolkits). Technical Acumen: Ability to interpret engineering specifications and collaborate with technical SMEs. Compliance: Knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and strict contracting policies.
