We are seeking a skilled Level IV Generator Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel and natural gas generators (20 kW – 500 kW). If you have electrical and mechanical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and experience working with generator systems, we want to hear from you!salary: $50,000 - $80,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesAs a Level IV Generator Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel and natural gas generators. These generators range from 20 kW to 500 kW, which means they power different types of equipment and buildings. You will diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues in generator systems. Maintenance & Repair Work Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine checks and assist others in more advanced maintenance tasks. Repairs: Replace batteries, belts, hoses, oil, and filters. Troubleshooting: Find and fix mechanical and electrical issues (e.g., dead battery, fuel issues). Testing: Perform load bank testing to ensure generators are working properly. Control Panel Work: Fix control panels, replace faulty breakers, and modify generator connections when needed. Documentation: Fill out service reports and work logs correctly and in detail. Work Schedule & Site Visits Follow a flexible work schedule and respond to emergency calls when needed. Travel to job sites, complete assigned work, and report daily on tasks completed. Communicate with customers and keep them updated on their generator’s status. Teamwork & Leadership Train lower-level technicians on maintenance, repairs, and safety. Work with your supervisor on scheduling and troubleshooting complex issues.
