job summary: Growing and very reputable company located in the Little Rock, Arkansas area is looking for a Purchasing Manager. Candidates who possess experience with cycle counting, procuring MRO, chemicals, PPE, lab supplies and who have supervisory experience are encouraged to apply. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. location: Little Rock, Arkansas job type: Permanent salary: $80,000 - 85,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: No Degree Required responsibilities: -Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes and maintaining safe practices at all times. -Oversees the purchasing and inventory functions at designated plant sites to ensure continuity of supplies. -Manages warehouse personnel, schedules work hours, advises on personnel issues and completes performance reviews and disciplinary action as needed. -Mentors warehouse team to foster a continuous improvement mindset and promote our core value of the The Freedom to Do More. -Creates, codes and receives purchase orders in PeopleSoft and KeepStock inventory systems. -Orders materials and schedules deliveries for operational needs and inventory replenishment. -Monitors market trends, pricing, supplier reliability and delivery schedules to anticipate material needs and align with corporate procurement strategies. -Develops and maintains vendor relationships to ensure consistent and cost effective supplies. Education: -Bachelor's degree (preferred). Experience: -5+ years of purchasing and warehousing experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting. -5+ years of management experience.
