Role Overview We are looking for a versatile Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician to maintain and repair high-speed beverage production machinery. This "dual-threat" role requires a technician who is equally comfortable turning a wrench on a mechanical drive as they are using a multimeter to diagnose a control circuit. You will play a vital role in ensuring our bottling, labeling, and packaging lines run at peak efficiency while adhering to strict safety and sanitation standards.Key Responsibilities Mechanical Repair: Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, high-speed fillers, cappers, case packers, and palletizers. Replace bearings, belts, chains, and gearboxes. Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical issues in 480V 3-phase systems, motor starters, VFDs, and 24VDC control circuits. PLC Support: Use Allen-Bradley (A/B) knowledge to identify fault codes, check I/O status, and assist in getting automated lines back in sync. Pneumatics & Hydraulics: Repair and maintain air cylinders, valves, pumps, and manifold systems common in liquid processing. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform scheduled lubrication, inspections, and parts replacement to prevent unplanned downtime. Welding & Fabrication: Basic MIG/TIG welding and shop tool use (drill press, grinders) to repair or modify equipment guards and frames. Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean work area following GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and strictly adhere to LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) protocols. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 3–5+ years in an industrial maintenance role, specifically in a food/beverage or high-speed packaging environment. Dual Skill Set: strong proficiency in both mechanical systems and industrial electricity. Technical Tools: Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics. Automation: Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs and various types of sensors (photo-eyes, proximity switches, encoders).
