A manufacturing company based in Georgetown, KY, is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. This role will provide strategic leadership in developing EHS systems and standards to support a safe operational environment. The EHS Manager will be responsible for leading, developing, and maintaining comprehensive environmental, safety, and health programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ISO 14001 and OSHA standards. The position involves working closely with all managers to identify opportunities to enhance the EHS program, aiming for zero injuries and promoting a behavioral safety-first culture. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities Foster a Zero-Injury Safety Culture by providing leadership and coaching to develop the site leadership team, plant operations, safety committee, and EHS direct reports. Eliminate recognized hazards in the workplace, encourage safe work practices, and cultivate a lean safety culture where employee safety is viewed as a key business value. Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations in a manufacturing environment, including OSHA (29 CFR) and EPA (40 CFR) standards, and manage the completion and submission of necessary regulatory filings. Regularly review, audit, and assess company safety and environmental practices, making recommendations based on audit findings to upper management. Stay up to date on relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including a comprehensive understanding of necessary programs and regulatory requirements such as lockout/tagout, hazard communication, hearing conservation, emergency action/evacuation plans, fire protection, ergonomics, machine guarding, hazardous materials, SDS databases, fall protection, confined spaces, combustible dust, bloodborne pathogens, respiratory protection, and first aid training. Keep accurate and thorough records of training sessions, inspections, audits, and regulatory documentation. Train, motivate, and educate line supervisors and team members on good housekeeping practices, safe work procedures, proper use of PPE, etc. Lead accident investigations and set goals and metrics.
